Very sorry to hear of the death of Derek Nally, a stalwart of the Irish music scene for many years. I worked with Derek on a number of occasions over the years, he promoted my the gigs in Whelan’s, Dublin, one of Ireland’s greatest music venues. Also in his capacity as Juliet Turner’s manager, in fact myself and my manager Lorcan were working closely with him for an upcoming double bill with myself and Juliet in the National Concert Hall at the end of this summer.
Perhaps we might dedicate this concert to his memory and for his family. He will be sadly missed, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam, John.
